I have worked as a yoga and meditation instructor in Portland, Oregon and Tucson, Arizona in venues ranging from athletic clubs to yoga studios to community centers to faith-based centers. As an early childhood education instructor, I had many a yoga session with toddlers and preschoolers.

I have worked with underserved communities and the aging population (they called themselves the Gay & Gray Club) through the Friendly House in Portland, Oregon (https://fhpdx.org). I have worked with people in recovery from drugs and alcohol through Living Yoga (https://www.facebook.com/livingyogaor/).

My joy in teaching yoga is helping folks know themselves better, and in so doing, develop self-love and compassion.

IN THE WORDS OF Thích nhât hanh:

Imagine a pine tree standing in the yard. If that pine tree were to ask us what it should do, what the maximum is a pine tree can do to help the world, our answer would be very clear: "You should be a beautiful, healthy pine tree. You help the world by being your best." That is true for humans also. The basic thing we can do to help the world is to be healthy, solid, loving, and gentle to ourselves. Then when people look at us, they will gain confidence. They will say, "If she can do that, I can do that too!"
